Vegetable shops can be seen in the raw market in the open ground, tomato, round brinjal, long brinjal, bitter gourd, gourd, green papaya, cucumber, carrot, cauliflower, barbati, chichinga, sweet pumpkin, shrimp, kachur lathi, rindash, laushak, spinach , the market of all types of vegetables including red vegetables, Kalmi vegetables, raw vegetables is as high as ever. No vegetables below Tk 50-80 per kg.

Dhardas, Potol, Jhinga, Corolla, Chichinga are being sold at Tk 70-90 per kg, Barab at Tk 70-80, Raw banana at Tk 40-50 per kg.

Also, old potatoes are being sold at Tk 50 per kg. Which last week the price was 60-65 taka. Desi and Indian onions are being sold at Tk 120 and Tk 95 respectively. Which was selling at 130 and 100 taka last week. Desi ginger is being sold at Tk 220. A kg of desi garlic is Rs 220 which was tk 230 last week. Indian garlic is Rs 170 which was tk 180 last week. And the price of dry red chili remains unchanged. As last week, it is selling at Tk 420 per kg.

Miniket rice 60-68 taka, Nazirshail rice 75 taka, coarse rice 54 taka, powdered milk 780 taka, oil 170 liters, 5 kg bottle of roopchanda 800 taka, palm oil 135 kg are being sold.

The sellers of the retail market say that everything has to be bought at a higher price from the wholesale market. Due to which the prices in the retail market also increased.

Arif Rabbani, a trader at Banalta raw market, said that the number of customers is less due to the rain today. Today, the number of people who used to come from the morning on Friday as a holiday is not that much. The price of vegetables has increased due to rain. Now is the time to grow winter vegetables. If it rains, they will perish. And because of the blockade, the cost of transportation has increased.

A buyer named Shamim Hossain said that all the money runs out when he goes to buy vegetables. Is it possible to buy at such a price? It costs 70 taka to buy one kg of cucumber. The prices of other vegetables are also there. Beans-cauliflower are coming in abundance in the market. But the price of beans is 90-100 taka. And small cauliflower also asks for 60-70 taka. If so, how will it work? At least thinking about the poor people, the price should be reduced by some rupees.

Small, medium and large hilsa fish are being sold at Tk 900, 1200 and 1400 per kg respectively. Also, small cuttlefish are being sold at Tk 300, Mala fish at Tk 350 per kg. The price of sea fish is also quite high. Large size surma fish is being sold at Tk 400-500 per kg, Rupchanda is Tk 500-800 depending on size, red coral is Tk 500-600.

After checking the meat market, it was found that the price of broiler chicken has decreased by Tk 20-30 compared to last week. The price of broiler has reduced from Tk 210-220 to Tk 180-190 per kg. Cock chicken is being sold at Tk 340, country chicken at Tk 600, layer at Tk 360 per kg and duck at Tk 600 a piece. The prices of eggs, beef and pork are also unchanged. Red eggs are being sold at Tk 50, white eggs at Tk 48, duck eggs at Tk 80, domestic chicken eggs at Tk 80. Beef is being sold at Tk 750-800 and the goat beef at Tk 1000 per kg.
